CryptoPayAfrica Editorial Policy
CryptoPayAfrica aims to publish factual, useful information about crypto and stablecoin access in African markets. This page explains where our information comes from, how it is checked, and how it gets corrected.
Sources
We prefer sources in this order:
- 1provider documentation
- 2provider support centres
- 3regulator and government sources
- 4provider product interfaces
- 5reputable secondary sources where necessary
Verification
Important provider facts carry a review date in our internal records, so we know when each claim was last checked. This applies in particular to:
- payment rail support
- country availability
- published fees
- KYC requirements
- regulatory status
Rates
We do not publish static exchange rates as if they are current, and we do not invent example rates.
Pricing on P2P marketplaces and direct providers moves continuously, so we describe how pricing works and point users to the provider for the current quote.
Regulatory claims
We never describe a provider as:
- licensed
- authorised
- regulated
- government approved
unless the exact status is supported by an authoritative source.
Where a status is partial, provisional or applies to a specific entity or product only, we say so rather than generalising.
Corrections
If information is outdated or incorrect, CryptoPayAfrica may update it after verification.
Correction requests are welcome — tell us the page, the claim and where the correct information is published. See our Contact page for how to reach us.
Commercial independence
Affiliate relationships must not change factual provider coverage or regulatory descriptions. Sponsored placement, where it exists, is labelled and kept visually separate from organic comparisons.
