Direct Mobile Money and P2P are not the same thing

Direct

The provider generates the quote and controls the transaction flow.

P2P

Another user or merchant sets the exchange rate and receives or sends the Mobile Money payment.

Stablecoin platform

The user holds or transfers stablecoins and converts them through the provider's supported local rails.

Users should compare these as different products rather than treating every "MTN → crypto" option as identical.

Published fee examples

Virtual-asset regulation in Uganda

Uganda's Financial Intelligence Authority now treats Virtual Asset Service Providers as accountable persons under the Anti-Money Laundering framework. VASPs are required to register with the FIA and comply with applicable AML/CFT obligations. FIA registration should not automatically be described as a general operating licence or a government endorsement, and provider inclusion on CryptoPayAfrica does not represent regulatory approval.
